A Foreword…

Education being the primary requirement has been of utmost importance since bygone ages. To be a well-educated person has a dignity of its own. The source of education is schools (Gurukul earlier) where gurus impart their knowledge and expertise to their students. Later, the environment where a child grows and their life experiences assist in their learning about life.
Education is never a forced medium of learning. It is to be learnt with discipline, open mind and all zest and vigour. Knowledge is an ocean! There is no end point to learning. But when to begin is the question.
It should start formally at somewhere for sure. Toddlerhood is undoubtedly, the best. The perfect time to nurture their intellectual capabilities! A proven scientific fact is that a child’s brain growth is 90% by the age of 5. Early years open the portal to their cognitive abilities, sensory and audio-visual learning. The foundation years either make or break the further years of life. So, they are critical and crucial.
Have you ever succeeded in holding a drop of water in a fist? It would be a folly thing. Because water cannot be retained in such a manner. A basic physics fact that liquids take the shape of their containers. So are young brains! They are not to be controlled or squeezed always in the name of the so called “goals of education”. Hold them properly and guide them in right direction.
As a caretaker, or a parent it is imperative that the children need to be highly monitored and carefully nurtured. Provide them with an education- a nurturing ground where children blossom with right ingredients of care, happiness and discipline. A child thrives better in such scenario. The yield would be of the highest quality – A bright student with deep-seated values!
We have reversed the prima facie of education by our fears and misbeliefs. Else it would be this:
Education is FOR LIFE, not for LIVING.
When education is for living, it will be a parrot-fashioned learning process.
When education is considered for life, it will be a stimulating one.
